Past Program Usage

The educational mission of the Schooner Ernestina has been to establish educational, cultural and experiential programs in a context that celebrates human diversity, creativity, value and dignity.

Ernestina provided programs to over 20,000 annually when sailing (until 2005).

Programs included science, environment, math, cultural history, art, music, team building and experiential learning.

Programs were delivered on shore, at dock side, through day sails, and extended sails of up to two weeks, and finally in the ECHO program in 2004.

Programs were provided to a wide range of groups

For example: Teacher Institutes, Higher Education, K-12 Programs, Scouts and other youth groups, Elderhostel, etc.

Special Events
