Fully mounted and operational, this replica of a traditional windlass from the late 19th century sits oiled and ready for use. In a operational “pull” test, with four shipwrights manning the lever arms, we managed to pull approximately 6200lbs of pressure. We were all very impressed with this simple yet effective piece of machinery.
