Work Day!  Schooner Ernestina Let’s get that Winter Cover OFF!
 Especially with the winter we’ve had, I look forward to getting that winter cover off.  A true sign of Spring!
Those of you who have done this before know what tools are needed.  Utility knives are handy and if you have a screw gun, there are a lot of construction screws to remove!

A message from Tom Reece, the DCR Partnerships Director

Lend a Hand for this Year’s Annual Park Serve Day
Registration begins on March 20th!

In 2013, the DCR hosted over 4,321 volunteers in 45 park sites across the Commonwealth for Park Serve Day. By day’s end, those volunteers had planted almost 900 flowers and shrubs and had collected more than over 37 tons of trash.

Since it began, tens of thousands of Massachusetts residents have picked a park, given a day, and made a difference. We hope to see you on April 26 for what will surely be a wonderful day.

Anyone interested in organizing or participating in a Park Serve Day Event should contact the supervisor at the host park of interest. If you need help finding contact information for the supervisor at your local park, call or email us at 617-626-1250 or end an email to mass.parks@state.ma.us.
