Make a tax deductible contribution

The Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts has established a Fund to support the capital repair and maintenance of Schooner Ernestina and administration and operation of sailing, educational, scientific, and cultural programs on board and connected with the ship.  The Foundation is qualified as a 501(c)(3) public charity for federal income tax purposes making contributions to the Fund tax deductible to the extent provided by law.  The Fund purposes state that in the event distributions for the benefit of the ship or its programs are no longer warranted because of its destruction or transfer to an entity not entitled to receive contributions under Sec. 170 of the Internal Revenue Code, remaining funds can be distributed for allied purposes including through existing funds or programs of the Foundation.  You may see more information about the Foundation at the Foundation's website.

Send a contribution

You can fill out your contribution information using an online form.  Then print the form and mail it with your check.  If you prefer to fill out the form in your own handwriting you can print a blank form by viewing and printing it.  Please, write legibly.  In any case, be sure to send your name and address so the Community Foundation can acknowledge your gift.  Thank you.
